The badassBox 4 is the result of over a year of development work. We've completely redesigned the case, made it slimmer made - which means that there are no longer any installation situations that are too tight.
The badassBox runs on one AAA battery (included). Replacement for the supplied battery you get cheap and proverbial on every corner. You can replace it yourself anywhere without tools in no time. We recommend to replace the battery at least once a year at the start of the season. Through our specially developed and patented FEET (Field Enhancement & Elimination Technology), you will get very far with one battery. To protect from moisture and the mechanical mechanical stresses on the wheel, the electronics are glued into the housing with a special potting compound and completely sealed.
We develop and manufacture the badassBox completely ourselves. Before and after casting we check each badassBox individually. Customer satisfaction and quality are our top priorities. In a nutshell
The badassBox is mounted with the speed sensor on the chainstay of the e-bike and ensures, that the motor supports you beyond the 25 km/h limit. Remove it and your e-bike is then again in the untuned and thus legal state.

How it works
The contactless and wireless badassBox transmits a modified signal in order to override the speed limit of your e-bike – without interfering with the motor's electronic circuitry or software. There's no need to open the motor and there is no risk of damaging it. If the badassBox is removed and the Giant sensor is mounted on the chain stay, or the original mounting situation in the dropout and the spoke magnet is aligned with it, then the e-bike is restored to the untuned and therefore legal state.
For all these advantages, a wrong speed, and values derived from it, are displayed. We recommend the use of GPS-related accessories for a more precise data acquisition of driving data (smartphone, bike computer, etc.).
